Jack STOLLSTEIMER:

Creating a Safer Pennsylvania

Only Jack Stollsteimer is uniquely qualified to deliver the kind of improvements in community safety, criminal justice policy, civil and reproductive rights, and environmental justice that we need in Pennsylvania. While a lot of candidates talk about making us safer, Jack has actually done it.

As the Delaware County District Attorney, Jack:

  • REDUCED GUN VIOLENCE

In October 2020, Jack formed the Chester Partnership for Safe Neighborhoods. Three years in, at a time when gun violence is out of control across this nation, Jack has helped reduce the gun violence homicide rate in the City of Chester by nearly 70% and the overall number of gun violence incidents by 65%.

  • DELIVERED REAL REFORM

Through collaboration and innovation, Jack’s team has spearheaded a 30% reduction in the prison population. Jack created new diversionary programs to keep low-level, nonviolent offenders out of jail and implemented cash bail reform, Jack has worked with the community to create new and effective violence prevention programs.

  • SAFEGUARDED REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS

In 2021 Jack was one of only two District Attorneys in the entire Commonwealth to sign on to a court filing to oppose the Dobbs decision which took away the constitutional protection to reproductive freedom for women across America. Jack is also one of the only DAs to publicly pledge to not criminally prosecute women.

  • FOUGHT FOR WORKING MEN AND WOMEN

Jack became the first DA in Pennsylvania to successfully prosecute contractor wage theft.  Millions were being stolen from the paychecks of working families.  Jack said "an honest day’s work deserves an honest day’s pay,” and won historic convictions against contractors ripping off workers.

  • PROTECTED OUR ENVIRONMENT

On the day he was sworn in as DA Jack formed an Environmental Crimes Unit, the first in Pennsylvania. Jack’s team collaborated with Attorney General Shapiro’s staff in a successful joint criminal prosecution against a gas pipeline manufacturer, who polluted local communities.

  • CRACKED DOWN ON OPIOIDS

Jack also brought successful litigation against distributors of opioids who profited by selling these powerful painkillers with false advertising about the risk of addiction.  Because of his litigation, Delaware County has received millions of dollars to invest in treatment and programs to help those struggling with addiction
